Back in early Summer 2017 we ran a survey (here are the music survey results), and offered a prize for one lucky respondent to have a single produced here at the studio.
Well, Birmingham-based Lucy-Rose Garnish was the winner. We loved her intelligent lyrics and quirky approach – it’s not often you hear a gentle acoustic singer-songwriter track morph into rapping!
We’ve since been busy in the studio, working on transforming the demo of her song Clocks into a full-blown single, which is now available to buy on iTunes (and Amazon).
Here is the original demo we started work from, so you can compare the before and after versions of the song.
We started the project off online, communicating via email and Skype. We built the music bed and sent MP3 files to Lucy-Rose’s for comments, tweaks and final approval.
Once the music was pretty close, she then hopped on a train and came up to North Wales to track her vocals here in the studio.
A few days later Lucy-Rose signed off the final mastered mix and set about making it available worldwide via digital distribution agency CD Baby.
Why not support independent music and buy Lucy-Rose Garnish‘s single, Clocks, today!
